Aldi bring jobs with new store

Aldi are set to create up to 40 jobs with the opening of its new superstore in Guisborough, North Yorkshire. The 16,900 sq ft derelict site used to belong to a branch of Focus DIY, and has remained empty since 2011.

An Aldi spokesperson has stated:

The store will span over 16,900 sq ft and bring an additional 30-40 new jobs to the area. We look forward to bringing much-needed retail choice to the area.’ (GazetteLive, 29th April 2014)

Work is expected to begin ahead of a proposed opening in October.
