Poland - a developing market
A Cadbury Schweppes case study

The building of a factory in Poland was a huge investment and an important milestone for Cadbury Schweppes, as it represented the company's first foray into the Central and Eastern European confectionery markets. Within eighteen months of selecting an appropriate site the factory was constructed and output produced on schedule for the confectionery sales season. Since then Cadbury products have been very successful in the Polish confectionery market. Cadbury is now widely recognised by Polish consumers as a top quality confectionery manufacturer and sales continue to grow. As the business makes profits, these will help to finance further development.
