GCSE/ 'A' level/ Standard Grade/ Highers

Asda offers a huge range of opportunities across all areas of the business including retail, distribution and Head Office. Within retail this could be anything from optometry or pharmacy through to a range of positions in not just our traditional Superstores but also our Asda Living, George and Home Shopping operations.

Our Distribution Centres encompass ambient, chilled, general merchandise and George clothing, and range from traditional Distribution Centres through to state-of-the-art automated facilities. At our Head Offices we have an enormous range of functions, from merchandising to procurement, and HR to IT to name but a few.

Apprenticeships

Having worked through the first four weeks of the job specific training, opportunities are available to all eligible colleagues to complete an apprenticeship in level 2 or level 3.

Graduate & Post-graduate training programme

There’s one purpose behind our graduate schemes: to fast track and develop our future leaders. There’s no limit to how far you can go at Asda. We offer summer internships in our finance department as well as 1-year industrial placements for many of our Head Office functions.

Work placements with combined qualifications

We also offer work experience to 14-16 year olds through our 'adopt a school' scheme. This can be for one or two weeks and provides you with a real taste of what it’s like to work in retail. We have a set training plan to make sure you learn as much as possible and get stuck in. Our work experience programme is accredited so you can also get a certificate that counts!
