GCSE/ 'A' level/ Standard Grade/ Highers
Typical roles for school leavers include administrative and clerical support, perhaps in finance or customer supports roles.
We also support our people to gain further vocational qualifications, such as HNCs or HNDs which are relevant to their professional development.
Each year we look to recruit apprentices in traditional construction and engineering trades such as joinery, electrical, plumbing, wood and metal work machinists.
Ideally you will have already undertaken GCSEs or have work experience relating to these areas.
Graduate & Post-graduate training programme
We regularly look to recruit graduates either directly into related roles to the qualifications achieved or for graduate training programmes, where we will develop your skills and experience in a particular area. For example, Purchasing, Engineering, Marketing or Human Resources.
In all cases we provide well structured, professionally designed programmes to thoroughly develop your knowledge and understanding of Portakabin Group operations and to help you to develop your career.
Each year we also look to recruit a number of Commercial Trainees for our Hire Division, providing well established training programmes to give experience and develop skills in our commercial, projects and works business areas.
In addition we sponsor our people to gain further professional qualifications such as Finance qualifications (CIMA, ACA); Human Resources (CIPD) and Engineering (BEng) which are suitable for their roles and career progression.
Work placements with combined qualifications
Whilst we do not offer these at present we have a long history of supporting work experience and placement students.
