Hewden has, impressively, taken in excess of 20,000 orders since it became the first UK based hire company able to offer guaranteed next day delivery, last year. Following the company’s success they’ve created 50 new jobs as part of an expansion with the launch of their Core Fleet Guarantee.

Some of the new vacancies created include: engineers, drivers and back office support staff (based at Hewden’s headquarters in Manchester).

Sarah Gomersall, Interim Head of HR and L&D from Hewden, has stated:

“This is an exciting time for Hewden. The new vacancies provide a wonderful opportunity to come and work for us. We are busy and we believe confidence is returning to the market. We are extending our core fleet guarantee and adding to our product range, so the time is right to expand and invest in new recruits as well. Good service is part of the Hewden package and we need more staff to help us deliver.”

Alongside creating new jobs, Hewden is continuing to invest in its kit, having recently undertaken a £51 million investment programme with global brands such as Caterpillar dealer Sinning, Thwaites and JCB. (hub-4.com, 23 February 2014)
