Hewden, the UKs number one plant hire and equipment rental company, are expanding further, having announced a new hub project on a 3.35 acre brown field site in Bedford.
Construction is expected to take as little as 4 months, with a scheduled opening in August. The new rental depot, at a cost of £1.6m, will offer general plant, access and cranes.
Kevin Parkes, Hewden CEO, has stated:
‘Being situated just off the M1 the new hub is ideally positioned to enhance the existing Hewden network. This great new yard will enable us to say yes to even more customers and fulfil next day delivery across the Home Counties.’
The new site will demonstrate Hewden’s commitment to the environment, incorporating several environmental measures into the new hub. (KHL, 22nd April 2014)
