Nespresso (an operating unit of the Nestlé Group) is announcing that they’ll be opening commercial operations in Colombia for the first time, to commence later this year.

Columbian coffee can be found in 80% of Nespresso Grands Crus; the country itself is the most important source of green coffee for the company, and widely associated with quality coffee worldwide.

Jean-Marc Duvoisin, CEO of Nestlé Nespresso SA, has stated:

‘Colombia is a country where coffee holds a very special place and we’re very excited that Colombian consumers will be able to discover the highest quality Nespresso Grand Cru coffees.’

Nespresso products will be made available in Colombia from autumn 2014. The company are also planning to open a Nespresso boutique in Bogota (Colombia’s capital city), offering customers to experience a face-to-face service where they can receive advice alongside the online and phone services it offers. (Consumer Goods Technology, 19th March 2014)
