Portakabin Hire has recently launched a new Planning and Building Control Service in order to better manage the Building Regulations and planning processes for the supply of interim modular buildings.

This new service provides a full and time saving solution that can help customers in the public and private sectors to obtain planning permission and building control approval for accommodation which will then be provided by Portakabin. This new service is a response to the increasing demand from customers after the introduction of increasingly complex regulations.

Along with the launch, Portakabin has appointed two specialist managers, one for the north and the other for the south of the country, and has assigned an agent from its team to help guide each project through the process.

Robert Snook, Director and General Manager of Portakabin, has stated: ‘The process of achieving planning permission and Building Control approval has become increasingly complex and time consuming for our customers in recent years, with local authorities now taking a variety of wider issues, such as the potential for flooding, into consideration.
