Every camper is different, but there is no doubt that each individual has a set of essentials that need to be packed for camping. Creating a camping checklist is a pretty standard thing to do, as it prevents you from forgetting to pack some of the most crucial items. Sleeping bag, pillows and sleeping mat are usually the things that cannot be forgotten. However, there are also some gadgets that at first may not seem necessary, but in fact can make your camping life much better.

This is certainly one of my favourite camping gadgets that is perfect for backpackers and weight weenies. It is very compact and the little dripper sits above the vessel while brewing coffee, which means no one needs to worry about over-stepping the coffee. The filter is extremely flexible which makes it easy to clean. This gadget can produce a great taste if the coffee is carefully and slowly poured. Another advantage of Ultralight Java Drip is the fact that is one of the cheapest options for a dripper and a cup.
