The 3 pillars of sustinabilityA sustainable agricultural sector is one that can be maintained without exhausting natural resources. There are three important elements of sustainable development: economic, environmental and social.

These are often called the 'Three Pillars of Sustainability'. Together, these pillars link through a process of mutual interdependence to achieve sustainability.
